The Scouts Home Page

What an excellent summer, rain free and good weather unusual but welcome. I hope you all had a good break. For those of you who have changed schools, good luck and for those of you who have not, well I hope the teachers are all ok.

Please take note of the dates, some are relevant for you and others for other members of your family.

Time.

Please could we remember to arrive ready to start at 7. 40 p M. Time is precious enough without having to wait for the selfish ones to arrive 20 minutes late. Please ensure you are also wearing full, correct uniform unless you hear different.

Remembrance Sunday.

We only March twice a year, so I expect you all to attend. You are forewarned, no excuses.

Please stop looking out for tins, bottles, and toys in preparation for our Christmas Fair. Notices to follow. Anybody have any ideas for fund raising, a possible game at the fair maybe? If so please see your patrol leader.

Subs

Second half payment due, reminders to follow.

Camps

Summer camp 1999.Go to report

Summer camp 2000. Only one week but will concentrate on water activities. There will be canoeing and sailing courses. Please make the effort to attend. The reason for a single week as opposed to to is that the leaders do not have the time available and it is possible that we will look to go abroad in 2001, which will be expensive. Accordingly we will need to start saving now. Fund-raising ideas please...

Attendance

If you can not come please let someone know. There are telephone numbers shown at the top of this page so I feel there can be no excuse. Surely it is common courtesy.

Scout numbers

We currently have at the time of writing 15 scouts, with two or three to join us from cubs. I would like you to enjoy yourselves on Friday nights and would ask that if you have any cause for concern that you let me know, Andrew or Paul know as soon as possible.

Future activities

Any ideas. Sensible please.

There will be more rock climbing on a monthly basis. I am also looking to organise a night activity and a wide game. Perhaps on the Underground over half term or Christmas holidays. So watch this space
