Group Scout Leaders Message

It is with sadness that I report that Foster Stanford, who was our host and a good friend of the group that gave the venture Scouts and Scots that went to USA only three years ago and had such a great time unfortunately died last week. He will be sadly missed and I have written to Ceci.

Much work has been going on in the way of painting and improvements. I am looking for parents who would like to point the Cub rooms

If you can spare a couple of hours please ring me and I will arrange for the paint etc to be available to you. There will also be a maintenance day and the date will be announced after supporters meeting.

The summer has been and gone and the Scouts had a good time (read scout report).

Please remember that the Yuletide fair is on Saturday 21st November and it is the major fund-raiser for the group and I would like to believe that every member and parents have helped in some way. There are many small jobs before and on the day that have to be done. Again nearer the date you will all be given notes of requests for help and jobs. So why not book your help now ring me.

I am also looking for someone to assist Valerie with the Beavers. The young people are the future of the group so why not give up one hour on a Thursday it is very enjoyable. Ring Valerie or myself.

Wanted-----anyone got a working fridge for the kitchen? We need it.
