Well the summer seems a distant memory and the Count down to Christmas begins.
Yet again we had an extremely enjoyable summer at Frith Grange. Being able to do shelter building, fire lighting and cooking to name just a few activities. This to me is what cub scouting is all about and judging by the cub's reaction we are not the only ones that enjoyed ourselves.
We now as a section look forward to the coming months and the activities that we will do. The top section has healthy numbers but we would always welcome new boys so if you know of any boy who would enjoy cups please bring them along, the 10th Finchley would welcome them with open arms.
Talking of new recruits, welcome to Alex and Gabriel we hope you are settling in okay. The cub section also welcomes the new Beavers joining us on 15th September. We shall be saying good bye to our older cubs and wish them every success in Scouts.
In the next coming months we will be entering the district handicraft competition (we hold the trophy at present) and also going on a Halloween night out. This is on top of all the badges we will be doing. It is a busy life being a cub.
Finally I end on a sad note. Maureen Wanders has decided to retire from attending cub evenings as a helper. Without Maureen's help and guidance over the past years my job would have been a lot more stressful and also not so much fun. So as we know that you read the bulletin, on behalf of the top section thank you.
